I saw a tree in the distance

Bright against the darkened land

And the fruit upon the branches

Was sweeter than I understand

And when I tasted of its goodness

My soul was filled with light

All I wanted in that moment

Was my family by my side

Come to the tree

Come and see

There is joy enough for all

Lay down your fear

The path is here

Why wander so far away

I watched some walk through mists of darkness

Others drifted toward the voices

And slowly wandered far away

But I could still see the river
