I Sing of Christ

I’ve read the words of ancient prophets

I’ve searched the stories of the past

I’ve watched the rise and fall of kingdoms

And learned that nothing earthly lasts

I’ve seen the pride of men come crumbling

I’ve seen the faithful carried through

And through it all one name keeps calling

One light keeps breaking through

I talk of Christ

I rejoice in Christ

I preach of Christ

And His redeeming love

I look to Christ

The gift of grace sent from above

I’ve walked through valleys filled with questions

I’ve stood where faith was all I had

I’ve learned that hope is not a feeling

But trust in One who’s always there

The law, the prophets, every promise

The covenants from long ago

Have led me to the same conclusion

The One I’ve come to know

I preach of Christ

I want my voice to bear this witness
