Now I Know

The desert nights felt cold and endless

And fear kept whispering in my mind

I watched my sons walk toward the danger

Not knowing what they’d face or find

And I questioned all the sorrow

Wondered why we had to go

But Heaven hears a mother crying

Even when she doesn’t know

Through every silent prayer

The Lord was there

Now I know

The Lord was leading us

Through every shadow in the wilderness

Now I see

His hand was over them

Protecting them again and again

When I could not reach that far

He was watching where they are

And the God who called us from our home

Never left us alone

Then I saw them in the distance

Walking safely through the sand

And every fear inside me melted

When I held them once again

Now my heart is filled with mercy

Now my soul has found its song

For the God who guides His children

Has been faithful all along

Now I know

The Lord was leading us

Protecting them again and again

He protected

He prepared the way

Every promise

Still unfolding

Every single day

No fear is greater than

The loving power within His hands

And though the road is long

His faithfulness goes on

Will lead us safely on
